Leylah Annie Fernandez is preparing for the new season, but she is still enjoying her newfound stardom after her amazing US Open campaign, where she reached the final.
Leylah participated in a nice event, the Sports Illustrated Awards at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Tuesday. She had the opportunity to meet many fellow athletes and also tennis legend Billie Jean King.

Ranked world no.24 (career-high), the Canadian played her last match on the 12th of October when she lost to world no.40 Shelby Rogers 2-6 6-1 7-6(4) in the 4th round in Indian Wells (draw).
Until now, during this year Fernandez has managed to achieve a compiled 25-17 match record. Fernandez has won 1 title in Monterrey. Leylah Annie was the runner-up at the U.S. Open.
