In the space of just a couple of weeks, Emma Raducanu went from playing the qualifications of the US Open in front of a handful of people to winning the title in a packed Arthur Ashe Stadium.

According to tennis legend Fernando Gonzalez, Emma had a great and overwhelming run that needs to be processed. The Chilean sensation commented:

She’ll need a couple of months to adjust to everything right now. Being the US Open winner is a lot for her to process, especially considering she was rated 150 before the tournament began and is now the player everyone is talking about.

I caught a glimpse of Raducanu’s first qualifying round at the US Open, and there were about five people watching. Then, two and a half weeks later, she wins the huge prize money and is crowned champion in front of a sold-out audience at Arthur Ashe Stadium, and she is famous all over the world. It’s a fantastic story.”

Emma has just started her preseason in the Middle East where she will play also and match at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
