That was a fantastic day for Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian beat Hanescu in straight sets and all the seeded players that he may face in the quarters fell (Tsonga, Simon, Pospisil and Del Potro).
The match against Hanescu went straight to the breaker in the first set (Nole won it with a very comfortable 7-1). In the second set Nole broke the Romanian twice to win 6-2.
Nole: Everything was good, but the returns
Djokovic commented “It was one of those days where you get to serve well and everything else is just kind of trying to find the way to play the right shots at the right time.
I didn’t make any returns in the first set. Second set I also struggled with the return, which is one of my better sides in the game generally speaking.”
Next with Gonzalez
Nole will play the third round against world no.91 Alejandro Gonzales.
That’s a good draw for the world no.2
