Emma Raducanu is slowly getting used to being a professional tennis player with everything that comes with it. An important part of being a pro in tennis is to have a strong preseason in December. A lot of tennis players decide to have their training in the Middle East, with Dubai being one of the favorite locations.
During a recent interview, Emma Raducanu revealed that she would spend the Christmas break in Dubai after she plays the prestigious Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Emma hopes that she will enjoy the presence of her mother and father in the Middle East during the holidays. The British sensation commented:
“I knew that playing tennis you’ll spend birthdays, you’ll spend Christmas and New Year not at home and I feel like for me it doesn’t matter. I’m there to train, I’m there to get better and then I fly to Australia. What’s going to be best for me is staying in the Middle East rather than flying seven hours back and forth.
So I feel like it’s not a sacrifice and hopefully, my Mum or Dad can come out maybe, and one of my best friend lives in Dubai so I can just see her.”
Emma will spend an important training block with her new coach Torben Beltz.

Currently ranked no.19 (career-high), Emma played her last match on the 9th of November when she was defeated by world no.102 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
At the moment, during this season the Brit has managed to achieve a compiled 25-9 win-loss record. Emma conquered 1 title at the U.S. Open. Raducanu was the finalist in the Chicago.
