Murray survives Rosol in Indian Wells opener

A tricky start of the tournament for a still imperfect Andy Murray.

The Scott is still not at his best after the back operation to drop the first set against Lukas Rosol. Andy wasn’t’ at his best also at the beginning of the second set to be broken in the very first game. Then the world no.6 found his way back to immediately counter break Rosol and break him again in the 6th game (4-2). The Scott won the second set 6-3.

In the third set Murray was much more in control to break Rosol in first and 6th game (4-2) to win the match 4-6 6-3 6-2.  Match Stats

Andy commented “I felt I was in a decent rhythm in the middle of the second set. I have always kind of struggled at the beginning of the tournament. I got broken three times in a row the end of the first set, beginning of the second. I just kind of kept going and found a way to win, which is always the most important thing.”
