Wozniacki, Radwanska and Jankovic to Indian Wells 3rd round

Besides Vika Azarenka crashing out to Lauren Davis, we had no major surprises in Indian Wells.

Wozniacki

Caroline dismisses world no.41 Bojana Jovanovsky 6-1 6-3. The match was closer than the score line may suggest. The Dane was rather good in saving 6 of the break points conceded while she converted 5 break points out of 9. The match ended after 97 minutes.

Caroline will play next vs. Yaroslava Shvedova. Head to head is 1-0 for Shvedova.

Radwanska

Agnieszka beats world no.134 Heather Watson 6-4 6-3 in 84 minutes. The match was a bit of a mess with 12 breaks on 19 games! “I’m just very happy I could play quite well today and win in two sets. Today was very windy and we were both struggling with the serve, so I’m happy I could make it through today.” Radwanska said.

Agnieszka will play the next match vs. Annika Beck

Jankovic

Jelena had a good and smooth win against world no.39 Yvonne Meusburger in 78 minutes. Jelena will play the next match against Magdalena Rybarikova. Head to head is 2-0 for Jelena.
