Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic share an excellent relationship that goes beyond their tennis rivalry. After beating the world number 1 in the semi-final of the ATP Finals, Sascha Zverev stressed how much Novak Djokovic deserves respect and admiration. Soon after, during his press conference, the Serbian legend gave also his view about Sascha to say:

“Sascha is also a friend off the court. We get along very well. Not easy to be very close obviously, when you’re rivals, playing that much against each other on the biggest stage. But we talk a lot about life, about a lot of different things. I’m always happy to share some of my experiences with him. We always had a wonderful relationship.”

Nole didn’t miss the chance to congratulate the German player after he won the ATP finals with the following message:

“Zverev had a tough year on/off the court. I know how much tennis helps me to grow & I’m happy that it was Sascha’s winning field this year. He is such a great guy. I can only say words of praise for him & his team. Well done for grand season finale & a big trophy Sascha!”
