Marketa Vondrousova did not have the season she was hoping for. That 22-year-old didn’t manage to win a single title in 2021. However, she managed to clinch the silver medal in Tokyo.
Marketa is enjoying the off-season at the Maldives probably in the company of her fiance. She announced her engagement with her boyfriend Štěpán Šimek soon after the Olympic games.

At the moment ranked no.35, Marketa played her last match on the 4th of November when she overcame world no.43 Viktorija Golubic 6-4 6-2 in the Rubber 2 in (draw).
At the moment, during this season Marketa owns a 34-19 match record. Marketa Vondrousova’s best performance of the current season was getting to the final in Tokyo.
