Roger Federer follows Novak Djokovic in voicing his support for Shuai Peng. The Chinese tennis player got heavily censored after she posted a rather straightforward statement on Weibo accusing former vice-president of sexual abuse.

Shuai “disappeared” and the only news received by the world about her are through the Chinese State media. That has prompted a huge opposition from the WTA that has voiced its intention to withdraw all the operations from China if there is no transparency of what is going on.

Many tennis players and the beyond have shared their support for Shuai. Even if Naomi Osaka was censored for doing that, other top players such as Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic voiced their apprehension for what has been happening to their colleagues.

Roger Federer added his voice to say: “I hope she is safe. We are all united around her. Tennis tour is my second family; I have been on the pro tour for 20-25 years, so I am connected to every ATP and WTA player.”
