Jannik Sinner had the luck to play the ATP Finals after Matteo Berrettini retired with injury. On Tuesday, he defeated his good friend Hubert Hurkacz 6-2 6-2 after playing a magnificent match. Following his win, Jannik Sinner went up 1 place in the live rankings to be the new world number 10.
It is a bit unlikely that Jannik Sinner will qualify for the semi-finals. However, if the stars align, the young Italian May progress even more in the rankings. In Case Jannik manages to get to the final, he will be ranked no.8 if Casper Ruud doesn’t progress.
Everything is a long shot for Jannik who should be already quite happy for securing the top10 for the end of the year.
