Sascha Zverev And Sophia Thomalla

Alexander Zverev is having a fantastic season after struggling for the last couple of years.

The German sensation had to deal with many off-court issues in the last 2 years. The world number 3 had a rather dysfunctional relationship with his previous 2 former girlfriends. Sascha split with Brenda Patea after she got pregnant, and soon after, Olya Sharypova badly and publicly accused him of domestic violence. The accusations were never proved and Zverev has always stated that they were untrue. Nevertheless, Sascha often had problems finding the right focus on court, given what he was going through.

New girlfriend

Fortunately, Sascha found some peace, and he is now in a relationship with his new girlfriend and public figure Sophia Thomalla (32), who is 8 years his senior. They started their relationship a few months ago, and it seems that things are going better and better.

During a recent interview, Zverev credited her girlfriend for his improving results.

“You can see that on the tennis court too. Everything is obviously different with her. I played really incredibly well in Vienna when she was there.

On the tennis court you can always see how you are doing in your private life. The stress that you have off the court, or the luck that you take with you on the tennis court.”

ATP Finals

Sascha Zverev won the first match after Matteo Berrettini headed to withdraw with injury. He would play his second match on Tuesday against Daniil Medvedev.
