Emma Raducanu is overexcited after finally being able to take a holiday after 7 years. The British sensation had a rather interesting and somewhat chaotic 2021 that culminated with her historic US Open title.
Emma had to find her way after becoming at celebrated star suddenly after her incredible triumph in New York. The 18-year-old is also in a unique situation being slam champion without any consolidated experience playing at the top level. For this reason, Raducanu decided to partner with her new coach Torben Beltz who helped Angelique Kerber win 3 majors and become the world number 1.
Exhausted needing a vacation
After so much happening, Emma Raducanu decided to take a holiday after 7 years. She commented:
“I’ll want to switch off completely, to be honest. I have watched and been around a lot of tennis for the second half of this year.
I haven’t been on holiday for seven years. So it will be nice to have the opportunity to go somewhere. The last time was a long weekend in Switzerland with my parents. I’m hoping to make it longer than that.”
I will switch off and when I am back in pre-season, I will be super hungry and motivated to do better.”

Currently ranked no.20 (career-high), Emma played her last match on the 9th of November when she was defeated by world no.106 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
At present, during this year Raducanu achieved a compiled 25-9 match record. Emma conquered 1 title at the U.S. Open. The Brit reached the final in Chicago.
