Tommy Haas and Nicolas Almagro are the top seeds of the Brasil Open in Sao Paulo.
Both players took some time to participate to a tennis clinic that will provide the proceeds to help children with disabilities.
The event was attended by various institutions such as Casa del Sol specialized in social therapy and therapeutic education.
Haas commented “It’s always nice to give back when you can and you have a clinic set up that is very nice and very easy for us players to do. It’s always nice to play with people who love tennis. I think it’s very easy for us and nice to give back that way and put a smile on people’s faces. Hopefully they enjoyed it. This is the way for the players to connect with the fans and I think it’s very important for us to do.”
Almagro said “We have to help the children who need it the most. It’s a pity that they came into the world with disabilities, but we could see that they are doing well and they enjoyed being here today.”
Haas will kick start his tournament against Potito Starace while Almagro will take on Federico Delbonis.
