Nadal saves 2 MP against Andujar to reach the final in Rio

What a match in Rio!

Rafael Nadal was meant to breeze to the final against world no. 40 Pablo Andujar, but that wasn’t’ the case.

Pablo won the first set with an incredible 6-2 score-line against the King of Clay. Then the world no.1 reversed the fortune of the match to win the second set 6-3. In the third set Rafa broke Pablo in the 7th game (4-3) to give the impression that the match was about to end. The world no.40 broke back again and the set went to a dramatic tiebreak.

The tiebreak was an absolute thriller with Rafa saving 2 match points (6-7 and 8-9). Finally Nadal won 10-8 after converting his 4th match point.  Nadal won this match even if he scored 2 points less than Andujar (see match stats)
