Stefanos Tsitsipas will play in Rotterdam for the sixth consecutive year in February 2022 (5 – 13). It was the tournament director Richard Krajicek to make the announcement on social media with the following message:

“Stefanos Tsitsipas returns to Rotterdam! He is the second player in the ATP top-3 playing in the 49th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. Can’t wait till February!”

Stefanos achieve that his best result in Rotterdam this year when he reached the semi-final before losing to Andrey Rublev. On that occasion, Tsitsipas was seeded number 2.

Now ranked no.3 (career-high), the Greek played his last match on the 15th of October when he lost to world no.25 Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-4 2-6 6-4

in the quarter in Indian Wells (draw).

This season the Greek achieved an overall 54-16 record. Tsitsipas conquered 2 titles in 2021 in Monte-Carlo and in Lyon. Stefanos got to the final in Acapulco, in Barcelona and at the French Open.
