Emma Raducanu had an unpredictable run at the recent US Open where she won the title coming straight from the qualifications. Obviously, no one could predict Emma’s sudden success even if Raducanu was already an exciting prospect for British tennis.

During a recent interview with tennis.com, popular commentator and former professional player Mark Petchey gave his opinion on why Emma Raducanu is so good

. According to Mark, Emma’s biggest strength is her intensity and focus when playing every point of the match.

Petchey commented:

“Yeah, just intensity to every point. Every point she brings the same thing. She plays her best tennis under pressure. She backs herself, moves much better than people give her credit for. It’s every efficient, and so it looks very easy. But, she moves incredibly effectively on the court.

The US Open, she was serving very effectively, got a lot from it. That was a big focus for us. I still think that will improve massively. Her return is one of the best, very Azarenka-like. There’s not a lot of holes in her game.”

Emma is currently training with her new coach Esteban Carril in order to get ready to play her next tournament in Romania.
