This is definitely a great year for Na Li.
The Chinese is still undefeated in 2014 to win in Shenzhen and then the Australian Open; the great news is that she will be the roud and deserving world no.2 from next week.
In fact, Na Li is now only 11 points from Vika Azarenka that won’t be able to defend her title in Doha. This means that the Belarus will lose enough points to give to Na Li the second place I the rankings.
Besides the prestige (this is a career high for Na Li), being world no.2 means also to definitely avoid Serena Williams in every tournament till at least the final… and that’s good, really good!
Now the real question is… can Na Li do even better in the rankings?
