Cilic reaches the quarters in Zagreb

Marin Cilic wants to retain his title in Zagreb.

The seed no.5 had a good win against world no. 101 Dusan Lajovic. Marin fired 12 aces (1 double fault) to score 80 points vs. Lajovic’s 65. Click here for match statistics.

Cilic: It wasn’t easy

The world no. 37 commented “It wasn’t an easy match. Lajovic played pretty solid today and he proved that he’s a promising player. I served pretty good and kept my service games out of danger. Overall, I think I’m serving better and the game is getting there.”

In the next match Marin will definitely play against another Croat that would be either boom boom Karlovic (that has blasted 44 aces in the previous match) or Ivan Dodig.
