It’s finally Na Li!
The Chinese no.1 is third time lucky to win the Australian Open after reaching her 3rd final.
Last year she lost to Vika Azarenka, this year… well she really didn’t want to miss it! Na Li had a tough first set against Dominika Cibulkova that was fighting in every single point. The match lasted till the tie break when Na LI’s experience prevailed on the Slovakian to grab a decisive 5-1 lead and wrap up the breaker at 3.
Then Dominika imploded and the Chinese took full advantage of it to bagel her opponent (6-0) and win her second slam. The final score was 7-6 (3) 6-0.

As we all know the Chinese is a brilliant speaker to say during the ceremony “Thanks Max, agent, make me rich,” Then she turned to her husband “Thanks, my husband – famous in China,” she said. “Thanks a lot, you are nice guy. Also, you are so lucky, to find me!”
Cibulkova: She was the one to dictate
Dominika wasn’t 100% happy by her tennis to say “She was the one who was dictating the game. Today I can only regret that my serve was not really there ‑ maybe because I felt not a little nervous, but my serve wasn’t working, you know. Then she could push me from the first balls, and I was under pressure all the times. Sometimes I catch myself running one meter behind the baseline. That’s not how I play.”
This is Na Li second slam after winning the French Open in 2011.
