Currently the world no.57 (career-high), the Italian has a 32-22 record in 2021. Lorenzo is playing in Nur-Sultan where he conquered Marc Polmans 6-4 2-6 6-4.

Lorenzo was the runner-up in the Antalya Challenger and in the Biella 2 Challenger.
