Roger Federer is trying everything he can to be back to competitions after 3 knee surgeries. The 40-year-old is not done with professional tennis, and he still believes that he can play at the top level if he is fully fit despite his age.
Roger had quite a few setbacks when trying to recover from the first operation he had early in 2020. Federer had to undergo another procedure later in the year, and he announced another operation soon after Wimbledon.
The good news is that Roger has been recovering pretty well, and he is pretty confident he can be back in 2022.
During a recent interview, Federer commented:
“I am recovering well; rehab is going really good. I must say, I’ve had no setbacks every day is a better day. I’m feeling strong and excited for what is to come. I experienced it last year, and I was surprised by how easy it was for me to go through the rehab process because I know it’s not the easiest thing to do.
I wish I could be back on a tennis court as quickly as possible, but I have to be patient, and it’s a slower period right now. I’ve got to take it step-by-step, so far, so good. I am very happy.”
