Bad start of the season for the American legends.
Bob and Mike Bryan can’t even go beyond the 3rd round in Melbourne as they have lost to Butorac and Klaasen in straight sets.
Since 2003 the Bryans have reached 9 times the final at the Australian Open to win 6 titles (!!!). This will be the first time since 2011 that the twins won’t get at least the semifinal in a major.
We need to give all credits also to Butorac and Klaasen that have defeated Hewitt and Rafter in their opener to now produce a major upset.
