Maria Sharapova wins another tricky match in Australia to reach the 4th round.
The Russian beauty had a good start against world no. 25 Alize Cornet to win the opener 6-1. Things got a bit more complicated in the second set as Maria had to recover a 1-3 deficit and she wasn’t able to grab the match when she was serving in the 12th game (she was 6-5 up). Finally the Russian won the decisive tiebreak at 6.
Maria had to cope once again with her “historic” problems such as too many unforced errors (35) and double faults (8). Match Stats.

Sharapova wasn’t very happy about her tennis “It’s never over till the last point is finished. After the last match I’m just happy to get through this one and to have another day to recover.
I definitely need to step it up. It’s never an easy road and I was lucky to get through the other day.”
