Emma Raducanu had a meteoric rise in the WTA rankings after she won the US Open. The new British sensation was only ranked number 150 before the American slam. She is now number 23.

Nevertheless, despite her new ranking, Emma may need to play (again) the qualifications in Indian Wells to participate in the tournament. The 18-year-old has entered the entry list of the prestigious tournament in California. However, the entry list is based on the rankings before the US Open. Therefore, Raducanu has to play from the qualifications unless she will have granted a probable wild card for the main draw.

The tournament will be staged from the 4th of October.
