A walk in the park for Serena (hardly a news) that conceded just 3 games to world no. 104 Vesna Dolonc.
Serena was in absolute control of the match to grab a 4-1 lead in both sets and wrap up the match in 63 minutes. Serena fired 10 aces, 24 winners (9 from Dolonc) and she has won 61 points out of 98… just too strong.
Serena: Too hot for long rallies
The world no.1 explained her strategy for the match… an easy one… “I just tried to hit a bunch of aces and a bunch of winners – that’s all you can do because it’s too hot to get into long rallies,”
