That was a hell of a generation gap!
There were 27 years (!!!) between Belinda Bencic and Kimiko Date-Krumm and the youngster won it!
The Japanese had a good start to lead 3-0, but then Belinda rallied to win the opening set 6-4. The Japanese used all her experience (well….) to win the second set 6-4, but it was the teenager that took control of the decider to win 6-3.
What can we say? Well done to both!!!
