Spanish qualifier Muguruza trashes everyone to win maiden title in Hobart

20 years old Garbine Muguruza wins an incredible title in Hobart.

The Spanish came straight from the qualification to grab this tournament without dropping a single set.

Her path was incredible. Garbine served 4 bagels (6-0) during the tournament, and the match that she was most challenged was against Flipkens (6-3 6-3). Then it was just pure trashing!

Muguruza won the semifinal 6-0 6-1 against Cabeza-Candela in just 45minutes (55 points for Muguruza, 18 for Cabeza-Canbela)! And in the final she demolished Klara Zakopalova in 70 minutes.

Garbine was elated by the result to comment “I can’t explain in words how happy I feel. Last year I was injured for six months and it’s amazing to be here.

“I won my first doubles title in Hobart last year so I guess I’m in love with Hobart now.”

Garbine will play the first round of the Australian Open against Kaia Kanepi… she might be worried…!
