Emma Raducanu is definitely enjoying her experience at the US Open. The upcoming player had to find her way to the main draw by playing the qualifications. Indeed, Emma reached the main draw in style without dropping a single set in 3 matches. The 18-year-old performed remarkably well in the first round when she defeated Stefanie Voegele 6-2 6-3.
No pressure
After winning her first round, Emma confirmed that she is feeling no pressure at all during this American slam:
“I feel like I am learning so much, being around these players and hitting with them, I feel like I am absorbing it all, so I don’t feel any pressure. It is all a free swing and bonus for me because I don’t have anything to lose.”
The Brito added that she has been also enjoying her staying in the New York
“Still, everything is so new to me, and I just love New York, the buzz and everything. Walking around the city is such an amazing experience. I am just enjoying it and I want to stay here as long as possible, so I will keep fighting.”

At the moment ranked no.150 (career-high), Emma has achieved a 17-6 record in 2021. Raducanu is participating at the U.S. Open where she managed to beat Bibiane Schoofs 6-1 6-2, Mariam Bolkvadze 6-3 7-5, Mayar Sherif 6-1 6-4 and Stefanie Voegele 6-2 6-3.

Ranked world no.49, Zhang owns an overall 17-18 record in 2021. The Chinese is participating at the U.S. Open where she conquered Hailey Baptiste 6-3 6-4.
Shuai Zhang will fight against the world no.150 Emma Raducanu in the 2nd round. Their actual head to head record is 1-0 for Zhang.
Zhang got to the final in Nottingham (Nottingham Open).
