Australian Open draws: Nadal vs. Tomic in first round!

The draws of the Australian Open are out!

Unlucky Nadal

The striking stuff is that Rafael Nadal will have to face Bernard Tomic in the first round! Rafa is definitely the favourite, but Bernard was definitely one of the worst players he could get in his opener.

That’s not all for Rafa that should face an always unpredictable Monfils in the 3rd round, then probably Nishikori and in the quarters Del Potro (or alternatively Raonic or Dimitrov).

Lucky Murray

Andy is absolutely unfit (he hasn’t fully recovered from the operation to his back) and a good draw is very important for him to get into the rhythm. The Scott will play Soeda in the opener and then the first dangerous player should be Isner  in the 4th round.  In the quarters he may face Federer

Federer: Tsonga on his away… once again!

Roger had a decent draw. He will face world no. 134 James Duckworth in the first round to then probably play Stepanek in the second. The real tough test should be Tsonga in the 4th round.

Roger was lucky to be drawn in Murray’s side. Judging Murray’s fitness Roger would definitely have a shot at him.

Very very lucky Ferrer

The world no.3 had a wonderful draw as he should be seriously tested only in the quarters vs Tomas Berdych. In the 4th round he may face Jerzy Janowicz, but the Pole is definitely unfit.

Djokovic smiles… till the quarters: Wawrinka is lurking!

Nole had a really good draw. He may have some problems in the 4th round possibly against Mad Max Gulbis (you never know what the hec is coming out of him), but he is going to have his first test in the quarters where he should play Stanislas Wawrinka. The Swiss is a player that always gives problems to Djokovic.
