This is going to be interesting!
Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams will play once again. These two had many issues also off the courts. Once Serena criticized Maria for her relationship with Dimitrov (that was rumoured about having a relationship with Serena before Maria) and Maria Sharapova had a rather bitter reply.
Recently Sharapova said she respect Serena only on the court (ouch!). So this clash will have an extra spice in it.
Serena leads Maria 14-2in head to head matches and the Russian doesn’t beat her since 2004 (!!!)
In Brisbane Serena reached the semifinal beating Petkovic 6-4 6-4 and Cibulkova 6-3 6-3. Maria demolished Garcia in the first round (6-3 6-0), she took advantage of a retiring Barty in the second round, and in the third she survived Kaia Kanepi 4-6 6-3 6-2.
