Difficult stuff for Rafael Nadal.
The world no.1 had to battle against Tobias Kamke to wrap up the match only after 2 hours and 25 minutes. Rafa’s problems started in the second set when he had to recover a 1-4 deficit. The King of Clay managed to recover from that, but he eventually lost the tiebreak.
In the third set Rafa got the only and decisive break only in the 8th game. Match Stats

Rafa was pleased by his victory to comment “I spent a lot of time on court and I won. That’s the very important thing. I think I played much better today than yesterday. The opponent played great; played very aggressive.”
Next vs. Gulbis
Rafa will play a guy whose game is rather tricky for him: Ernest Gulbis. Head to head is 6-0 for Rafa, but it has always be a struggle with Mad Max Gulbis that this time he has a clear shot at him. Interesting match.
