LIVE RANKINGS. Zverev 1 step from snatching world no.4 spot from Nadal

This is why Sascha Zverev is so close to become again the new world number 4

Sascah Zverev Live Rankings

Alexander Zverev is in excellent form after winning 9 consecutive matches. The Olympic gold medalist decided not to play in Toronto after he won in Tokyo and be back only on the occasion of the ATP1000 in Cincinnati.

Alexander Zverev seems to be in fantastic form during this week to reach the semifinals in Ohio, where he will face Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Live rankings

Sascha Zverev has never managed to win a single match in Cincinnati before this year. Nevertheless, now he is 2 steps from winning the prestigious ATP1000. Zverev also has the opportunity to become the new world number 4 if he reaches the final.

Sascha now has 7600 in the live rankings and if he beats Tsitsipas in the semi-final he will have 7840 points which will be enough to snatch the world number 4 from Rafael Nadal, who has 7815 points.

After this week, being the world number 4 is the maximum possible result for Sascha. If he wins the title in Cincinnati, he will have 8200 points which will not be enough to overtake Stefanos Tsitsipas, who has already 8350 “live” points.

Here are the live rankings.
