Nadal: My knee still hurts

Rafael Nadal is the world no.1, but he has to constantly cope with his knee.

After being side-lined for the most part of the 2012 season for his knee injury, Rafa had a spectacular comeback in 2013 to win 10 titles (2 slams).

During a recent interview the Spaniard shared some worries about his fitness.

About his fitness problems…

“When I went back on court for training two weeks ago I could barely move around. I was very slow and I couldn’t play tennis the right way” said Rafa

Things are better compared to last week, but I am still not feeling 100%, and sometimes the knee does still hurt

… and how to get better

“I will practice more in Doha. I will try to work harder on waking up the muscles before the matches and hopefully I will arrive to Melbourne in perfect shape.” Concluded the King of Clay.

In Doha Rafa will play his opener against Lukas Rosol.
