Why Nadal like Federer will not play the US Open

These are the reasons why we do not expect Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to play the US Open this year

Rafael Nadal And Roger Federer

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are plausibly going to miss the upcoming US Open.

Rafael Nadal was scheduled to play 4 tournaments during the American swing. The Spanish Champions had the idea to compete in Washington, Toronto, and Cincinnati before the US Open.

Unfortunately, Rafael Nadal has been struggling for a few months with a left foot injury. Rafa played in Washington, but then he pulled out from Toronto and Cincinnati. Later, Nadal decided to go back to Spain to seek advice from his personal doctor. It is not plausible that Rafael Nadal will go back and forth from Spain and the USA to play US Open with minimum training.

Roger Federer is also widely expected not to play the American slam. During a recent interview, Federer admitted that he has not been training for long and also, in this case, it is not plausible to conceive that the 40-year-old will played US Open after training only for 15 days.
