Alexander Zverev is extremely proud of having won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. He believes that it is nonsense the statement that the field was not strong enough

Sascha Zverev And Rafael Nadal

Alexander Zverev has just won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The German sensation didn’t hesitate to say that winning the precious metal is the most significant achievement of his still-young career.

Nevertheless, some people commented that the Olympic Games were missing many important players who decided not to compete because of the restrictions.

Alexander Zverev said that according to him, it’s nonsense saying that to the field was a weak one. Rafael Nadal was the only top-five player who was missing in Tokyo.

This is what Zverev said in a recent interview:

“There was one missing was Nadal. All the others were there; we were 4 of the Top 5 players. That’s why I think it’s nonsense that many say some were missing. Nobody was missing.

Winning the Olympics is probably the hardest tournament of all: It takes place every 4 years, everyone plays for their country, everyone is extremely emotional and motivated. That’s why I’m really proud of it.”
