The organisation of the ASB Classic awards the wildcards to Julia Goerges and Andrea Hlavackova

Gorgeous Goerges slipped to world no.72 after rather disappointing season. The only highlight of 2013 was reaching the 4th round in Melbourne. Giulia will try to climb up the ranks (her career high was world on.15 in 2012)
Hlavackova
Andrea got the wildcard as she has managed to bring world no.29 Lucia Safarova to the tournament that put as a condition of her participation the admission of Hlavackova to the main draw (Lucie and Andrea will play the doubles together.
Last year’s winner was Agnieszka Radwanska that has defeated Yanina Wickmayer 6-4 6-4 (Goerges was seeded no.2)
