Novak Djokovic tried his best to bring at least a medal to team Serbia at the recent Olympic Games in Tokyo. However, his noble effort turned out to be a nightmare after losing in the semifinals in both singles and doubles with Nina Stojanovic.
Novak Djokovic completely lost his cool when trying to win the bronze medal when playing against Pablo Carreno-Busta. Things got extremely complicated during that match for the world number 1, who threw a racket in frustration in the empty stands before smashing another racket.
After losing in singles, Novak Djokovic didn’t feel fit playing mixed doubles in what would have been a shootout to win a bronze medal.
Piers Morgan vs. Djokovic
Controversial British journalist Piers Morgan twisted a rather nasty past at Novak Djokovic with the following message:
“Pathetic spoiled brat behaviour by Novak Djokovic at the Olympics today – smashing racquets, ranting & raving, & pulling out of the doubles thus costing his partner a medal. He let his teammates down, his fans down, & his country down. Shameful antics from a supposed champion.
