Tennis Canada has just announced the seeds for the upcoming Rogers Cup. The event was not staged in 2020 because of the global pandemic. These are women will play in Montreal while the ATP Tour players will compete in Toronto.
The defending champion is Bianca Andreescu, who overcame Serena Williams in the final after the American was not able to compete following an injury.
Naomi Osaka, Bianca Vanessa Andreescu, and Aryna Sabalenka are probably going to be the biggest attractions on the women’s side. The world number 1 Ashleigh Barty decided not to play.
