Stefanos Tsitsipas explains why he was so happy for participating in the Olympic Games in Tokyo

Stefanos Tsitsipas was hoping to win at least one medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Eventually, things did not go as Stefanos planned. The Greek champion lost in the third round in singles and in the quarterfinals in mixed doubles.

Nevertheless, despite the disappointment of not being able to win a single medal, Stefanos Tsitsipas was still very happy with his participation in the Olympic Games.

The Greek sensation posted the following message on Instagram:

Win or lose, these are the kind of milestones as an athlete that will stay with you as you grow older. Representing my home country of Greece at the Olympics has been an unbelievable experience.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas will play next in North America. His next tournament will be the Rogers Cup in Toronto, then the ATP1000 in Cincinnati, and finally the US Open.
