Naomi Osaka is having a rather bumpy ride in her still-young career. The Japanese sensation has indeed won 4 slams titles, but she keeps on struggling with periods of depression that are extremely tough on her mental health.

Naomi Osaka has admitted many times that she has been struggling with pressure and sometimes she just misses her sister Mari who has been with her for a long time.

Mari Osaka is roughly one year older than Naomi. She has tried to be a top tennis player but she has never achieved Naomi’s results and she has recently declared her retirement from the sport.

Naomi and Mari are quite close. In a documentary broadcasted by Netflix, Naomi Osaka revealed that sometimes she misses her sister:

“My sister, I haven’t seen her in a few months. I miss her a lot, cause we grew up together. We were together every day until we were like 17. She helps me a lot, with like, the fashion stuff,” she said.

In a recent post on Instagram, Naomi also confessed: “The only person who can match my crazy, possibly exceed. Actually not possibly most definitely.”
