Ferrero to open a Tennis Academy in Shenzhen

Interesting move from the former world no.1.

Juan Carlos Ferrero will open a Tennis Academy in Shenzhen, near Hong Kong. The 2003 French Open champion has been already managing a successful tennis academy in Alicante that is going to be the place for sourcing the tennis coaches for China.

The project will be opened in September with a 5.000 seats stadium, 20 hard courts (16 indoor and 4 outdoor) and 4 indoor clay courts. That’s not all.  In fact there is going to be also a 4 stars hotel (200 rooms) and a dormitory for 500 players (wow!).

Ferrero: I hope to make my contribution to Asia

Juan Carlos commented “I feel really excited about this and I really want to collaborate in this exciting project with Gemdale. I really am surprised that this company has female scholar players and that the company is so committed to tennis.

I hope to make my contribution with the Asian continent to continue promoting competition tennis”.
