Stefanos Tsitsipas will go to North America where he will try to bounce back after a couple of of tough months

Stefanos Tsitsipas was hoping to conquer at least one medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Unfortunately, things did not go his way, and eventually the Greek sensation lost in the quarterfinals in both singles and mixed doubles.

Nevertheless, life on the tennis tour is always frantic and Stefanos has the opportunity to bounce back in style in North America.

Tsitsipas will not play next week in Washington, where many top players will compete in the local ATP 500. Instead, Stefanos will rest and play next in Toronto on the occasion of the Rogers Cup. After playing in the ATP1000 in Canada, Tsitsipas will compete in Cincinnati before trying to win his first major at the following US Open.

The Greek champion is not performing at his stellar levels after he lost in the French Open final at the hands of Novak Djokovic when he was leading the Serbian sensation by 2 sets. Later, he lost in the first round in Wimbledon before crashing out in his second match in Hamburg. He was hoping to go much farther than the quarterfinals at the Olympic Games.

Now the world no.4 (career-high), the Greek played his last match on the 28th of July when he lost to world no.28 Ugo Humbert 2-6 7-6(4) 6-2 in the 3rd round in Tokyo (draw).

Currently, during this year Stefanos owns a composed 42-12 win-loss record. Stefanos has won 2 titles in 2021 in Monte-Carlo and in Lyon. Stefanos was the finalist in Acapulco, in Barcelona and at the French Open.
