Ana Ivanovic beats Sharapova in Bogota

Ana and Maria had a very nice exhibition in Bogota’ that marked Sharapova’s comeback.

In fact, the Russian was coming back from an injury that has prevented her to play the second part of the season.

The exhibition lasted three sets and it was Ana to win it at the champions’ tie-break 6-1 1-6 21-10.

Even if Maria lost, she looked quite happy to be back to tennis to Tweet “After months of not competing, tonight was a baby step forward! I missed this so much.”

Ranked world no.4, Sharapova will try to get back to her best form after having appointed Sven Groeneveld as her bews coach. She will kick start the season in Brisbane.
