Federer may not appoint a new coach

Roger Federer had a long and interesting partnership with Paul Annacone that allowed the Maestro win his 7th slam and regain the world no.1 status in 2012.

After a complicated 2013, the couple decided to split and now Roger is “coach less” or… a sort of it. For years roger is using the Swiss Davis Cup captain Severin Luthi as a sort of private coach and he might hire him on a more stable basis.

Roger: I am very happy with my team

Talking about his relationship with Severin, Roger said “In Severin, I still have a coach who has been extremely helpful for me for a long time.

But I don’t know if he can or wants to be on the road with me for 40 weeks next year. At the moment, I don’t know if I am going to appoint a new coach at all. I’m very happy with my team.”

The Maestro is now ranked world no.6 and he will kick start the new season in Brisbane.
