Apparently winning slams and tournaments during the regular season is becoming a way to get more money from off seasons exhibitions.
Last year Roger Federer made a small fortune ($12 mil?) during his trip in South America, this year it was about Rafa to have fun and becoming richer and richer (nothing wrong with that!)
According to the Blich, a Swiss news agency, the world no.1 collected 10 million dollars for his appearance in Latin American in one week where he has played against Djokovic,Nalbandian and Ferrer.
The interesting part is that Rafa won “only” 14.5 million dollars for playing the entire season (where he has won 10 tournaments and 2 slams). Making $10 million for laughing and taking pictures… well that was awesome!
Before that, Rafa went to Necker Island at the British Virgin Island to play a charity event organized by Richard Branson… but that was for free.
That’s quite a nice time for Nadal! That’s why he is smiling.. a lot!
