As pointed out by many top players, something has to be revised in the tennis calendar.
There are too many tournaments around the globe and this becomes even worse when top players have to play the Davis Cup.
After a tough (and interesting) tennis summer and a final trip to Australia (Davis Cup), Federer found himself incapable to play in Beijing and Shanghai.
He cited exhaustion and added … ‘I have some nagging injuries that I need to address and I look forward to returning to the Tour as soon as possible.’
Federer is widely expected to come back for his home town tournament in Basel (he won it 4 out of the last 5 years) and he will definitely be 100% ready for the final showdown in the London ATP World Tour Finals.
