Genie Bouchard wins the WTA newcomer of the year award

Great stuff for Genie Bouchard that after a great season she receives recognition from the WTA.

The young Canadian managed to climb the WTA rankings from being world no.144 at the beginning of the season to be ranked no. 32 after reaching the final in Osaka.

Genie claimed some important scalps in the season to beat Ana Ivanovic in the 2nd round in Wimbledon in straight sets, Sloane Stephens and Jelena Jankovic in Tokyo and to lose in 3 sets against Serena Williams in Cincinnati (brining the supreme Serena  at the 3rd set can be considered as a very good result!).

So after a strong seasons end, Genie is posed to break in the top 20 in 2014 and she might go for more…
