Novak Djokovic is now in Tokyo, where he will try to conquer his first gold medal. The Serbian sensation is the hot favorite to win the tournament in singles after he clinched the titles of the first 3 majors of the year.
Nevertheless, Novak Djokovic is well aware that some other players are pretty dangerous. During a recent interview in Japan, Djokovic named Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev among the top players who can create the most troubles for him.
Novak commented: “Although some players from the top are not coming, there are also a lot of elite players fighting for medals: Medvedev, Tsitsipas, and Zverev are among the favorites.”
Mixed doubles
Novak Djokovic is also expected to play mixed doubles with Nina Stojanovic. Following the Olympics Mantra, a medal is a medal and therefore, there is not much difference for his country if Djokovic conquers the gold in singles or mixed doubles.
