Why hiring one coach if you can take two? This is what has happened in Laura Robson’s camp.
The 19 years old is struggling to find some continuity in her tennis. OK, she is still young, but she needs to find a solution. Now ranked world no.45 in 2014 she has to try to break in the top 20.
So Laura hired American Jesse Witten as her traveling coach and “hitting partner” and Nick Saviano was chosen as consultant.
Saviano has a curious role as besides being Robson’s consultant he will be also Bouchard’s full time coach and he will travel with the young Canadian that has stated “Any player can go and train at his academy and I think she’s training there now and that’s how he operates and that’s fine with me. But on the road he’s only going to be coaching me,”
