2011 has been a remarkable year for Novak.
He won 3 slams, he lost only 3 times (2 for injury) and he finally became world Nr.1 (well.. for a reason!!!).
After his incredible victory at the US Open Grand Slam (Federer and his fans… and a couple other millions people still wonder how…) he had to suffer a major setback.
During the last match at the Davis Cup he had to get off the court because a bad back injury.
It is a bit ominous the fact that on the other side of the court there was a guy (Del Potro) that got really unlucky (well… injured) soon after winning another incredible US Open (and here Federer is still wonder how he manage to lose also that match.. but this is a different story…).
Going back to … Novak’s back, apparently he had a partial tear to a muscle and this will postpone significantly his come back.
The Serb will not play the 2010 Shanghai ATP Master, but he will work hard to come back for the ATP World Tour Finals in London due the 20th of November.
We all hope in his return…
